  • Learn proper table manners: utensils, napkin, posture, place setting, and tech etiquette
  • Practice conversation skills: ordering, polite responses, and speaking with servers
  • Build confidence in handling the unexpected: spills, burps, asking for seconds

Youth: Etiquette and Social Skills for Everyday Life

Confidence, courtesy, and social skills they can use right away (Ages 8-12)

Topics include:

  • Introductions: Why making a good first impression matters. How to introduce yourself in various situations. What to do when you forget someone’s name.
  • Handshaking: We’ll learn and practice the 5 keys to the perfect handshake. How to handle awkward situations.
  • Entering a Home or Room: How to enter someone’s space; wait to be invited in; learning house rules.
  • Guest and Host Etiquette: Things to know that will help make you a good guest and welcoming host.
  • Conversation Skills: Starting and ending a conversation; listening without interrupting; how to politely interrupt; differences when speaking to an adult vs. a friend.
  • Sitting, Standing, and Posture: We’ll practice techniques to improve posture and why it matters; space awareness; sitting and rising; when to offer your seat to someone.
